Call for Papers Click here for a downloadable pdf of the Call For Papers. In support of this year's theme, "SDR 2.0 - Entering the Mainstream," the SDR Forum is soliciting abstracts and proposals in these areas: Papers - Papers should provide a perspective of the current state of the art in reconfigurable radio technology, future trends, technical innovation or analysis on the opportunities and constraints for broad practical applications. Paper abstracts must include an abstract, author information, topic area, with sufficient information to validate the quality and technical depth of the paper. Suggested paper topics include the following:
Demonstrations - Demonstrations will run in parallel tracks with the regular paper sessions and allow our member companies to demonstrate advanced and innovative technologies relevant to software defined and cognitive radio systems. Each demo session will be scheduled for 45 minutes which must include set-up, presentation, demonstration, and teardown. Note that this is different from paper presentations in that written material is optional. Written material delivered in advance of the Presentation Due Date will be included in the conference proceedings. Proposals for demonstrations should include a title, speaker name, company affiliation, and an abstract sufficiently describing what technology will be demonstrated that the technical significance of the demo can be determined. Panel Sessions - Panels present topics for discussion such as cutting-edge research and design, analyses of hot or emerging trends, opinions on controversial issues, reports by practitioners and contrasting viewpoints from experts in complementary professional areas. The proposals for panels should include a title for the panel, a brief outline of the panel discussion topics, panel participants, and panel moderator along with their bios. New for SDR 08 – Invited Tracks - For this year’s conference, the SDR Forum is inviting partner organizations and other important groups within the advanced wireless community to host “invited tracks” as a part of the SDR ‘08 program. The Forum is pleased to announce two invited tracks at this time, with more expected in the near future: Important Dates:
