SDR Forum Working Meeting – January 26-29, 2009 in San Diego, California
The SDR Forum held a working meeting on January 26 to 29 at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2). This meeting represented the 61st General Meeting of the Forum and comprised working sessions advancing the SDR Forum’s 2009 operations plan in support of the commercial, public safety, avionics, and international tactical radio communities.

In addition, the SDR Forum hosted meetings of two IEEE SCC41 project groups in San Diego:
- P1900.5 – The purpose of this group to define a policy language (or a set of policy languages or dialects) to specify interoperable, vendor-independent control of Cognitive Radio functionality and behavior for Dynamic Spectrum Access resources and services.
- P1900.6 – The purpose of this group is to define a standard for the information exchange between spectrum sensors and their clients in radiocommunication systems. The logical interface and supporting data structures used for information exchange are defined abstractly without constraining the sensing technology, client design, or data link between sensor and client.
