This multi-day workshop, hosted by the SDR Forum, brought together wireless telecommunications equipment manufacturers (TEMs) with their customers and suppliers to explore the evolution of reconfigurable radio over the next several years. Reconfigurable radio technologies are becoming essential to support the requirements of the wireless market. Network operators need to contain their capital and operational expenditures while supporting a proliferation of wireless standards from organizations such as IEEE and ETSI. Wireless end users, be they business travelers or first responders in a national emergency, are demanding radio technologies that allow them to communicate with whoever they need to, whenever they need to and wherever they are.
The Program Chair for the Workshop was Dr. Friedrich Jondral, Universität Karlsruhe
